A New Season

We started the buying/selling house journey 2 months ago. We found a house a mile away from where we lived and loved it as it had everything we needed, and still within the area. However, it needed more work than we were really even available to do. We were bummed, but kept pushing for this house even though it would have been way more than we could have or wanted to handle. We wanted something NOW. We didn’t want to leave Theodore area so with our criteria, our house already sold and what we could afford, we were running out of options. Our amazing realtor sent us a listing of a house in Irvington, not too far from where we were.. even looking over the photos, I was in love with the house. When Mrs. Terri and I walked in the house the next morning, we knew that this was it. Jarvis was at work so I had to FaceTime him the house, but he trusted us enough to submit an offer that day even without him seeing it in person. Meanwhile, I saw a post that a mutual Facebook friend posted that her family was moving out of their house and that they were praying for the new owners. This was at the beginning of August. A month ago from tomorrow. We closed yesterday and because of a few mishaps, we were signing the same time that the sellers were st the office and we met them (which isn’t typical for the seller/buyer to meet). As soon as I saw their family walk in the room next to us and I saw their name on paper, it all made sense! I grabbed my phone and scrolled back to her post where she had also posted photos of her family in the bathroom mirror. This was my new bathroom! Instant chills! I had no idea that when I was reading her post, that it was about us! We were the family they turned their house of special memories to.. God closed the door on what we THOUGHT would be our house and gave us an even more amazing home. Because of this families prayers (while we were stuck on a different house), our realtor/which is as close to us as family and their team and our faith in God, we have started the next chapter in our lives. We were upset at the time and didn’t understand what God was doing behind the scenes, but he knew all along. How amazing is our God?
